The Detroit Department of Transportation (D-DOT) is a transit system serving portions of the southeast corner of Michigan, but it is supplemented by several other agencies that run into Detroit. SMART Bus serves the surrounding suburbs (service into Detroit is weekday rush hour only), greater downtown Detroit is served by the Detroit People Mover and QLine train services. Fast (as was predecessor RefleX) is a new Limited-Stop service operating on Woodward Ave., Gratiot Ave. and Michigan Ave. To top it all off, TheRide - AAATA serves nearby Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County.

Northeast Ohio (Akron Metro/SARTA/Cleveland RTA/Lorain County Transit/PARTA/Laketran/Youngstown WRTA)

The northeast corner of Ohio has many significantly-sized cities within close proximity, each with their own transit systems, along with other heavily-populated counties with their own systems. The largest of these, however, is the Cleveland RTA, which consists of a large network of bus routes, along with a heavy-rail line, two light-rail lines (which are the last remnants of a formerly-larger streetcar network) and three bus rapid transit lines. The three rail lines are each powered from the same overhead wires and even share the same tracks for a short distance.
