Quote from: MillerRichard1 on December 03, 2019, 12:44:01 pmThere definitely can be if you're not crediting the original stuff that was there beforehand. It's like if I modify a bus to how I want it, at least give credit to the original owner or else people are going to question everything

I gave my credit.

So there's no copyright infringement when I made my mod?
Quote from: Dash5155 on December 03, 2019, 01:07:47 amAnthony, what is your actual problem?? Final warning, TONE DOWN THE TUDE!

I would lock this thread, but that's taking the easy way out. You cannot, and WILL NOT bring that behavior over here. Clearly, no one is interested in your attitude so CAN IT. It clearly has nothing to do with whatever group you post in and moreso related to how you come across.

Case in point. You could've just said you didn't want it to be re-uploaded without making fun of other existing groups. The downloads system in this website sorta has a request access system, where one is required to log in to download... so that clearly wasn't the case, you just forgot to enable link sharing which is a perfectly understandable error... BUT... Even with that being said, just say you don't want people to re-upload and that's perfectly fine. I just hope you're not using anything from the Powertrain Mod or Morphi's scripts if that's the case, cause both of those are public domain...

1) ok

2) I really Should've said that

3) Are you sure that the NFI powertrain mod is in the public domain? If it was, Theo be no copyright
Quote from: Thatguy1 on December 02, 2019, 08:51:48 pmThat is the dumbest crap I have ever heard

I worked hard on this.
Quote from: Thatguy1 on December 02, 2019, 08:19:03 pmWhy do we need to request access to the mod fool

So that way no one decides to re-upload it to Toxic city, ToxicVille, or New Toxic City
Quote from: reappearings on December 02, 2019, 08:26:21 pmToxic? You bought this upon yourself after being the clown you are, also why do we need to request access?

"Toxic know-how wannabe SJW's" You don't know what you're talking about, do you? Do you know what an SJW is?

Oh, and final thing, shut the fuck up, peenman. I don't think even the UK mfs will welcome you
1) yes. You're all toxic.

2) yes! Social Justice Warrior!

3) they took me in with warm attitudes

Here you go.

Merry early christmas.

Credit to Dash5155 and everyone who did this mod. (I forgot who helped.)

Without them then there would be no mod.

Also: plz don't upload it.

"Clout" is for famous youtubers, Dash. I don't have any, and I don't need any rn.

Quote from: Cummins ISL on November 19, 2019, 01:15:01 amWARNING: This project is not guaranteed, I could quit anytime as I am only doing this in my free time as a hobby. This could take forever, and I can cancel it at any time. Before anyone calls me out on making false "promises"

Hi, I am dipping my toes into the map modding "business" and will be modding Cayuga. This will have some extra routes that I think deserve to be in the game. I will take suggestions as long as it does not involve adding extra parts of the map (for now, I'm still figuring out the editor)

Here is a list of the routes I will be making.

Route 212 Lakeland Flyer - Collins Terminal to Darradale P&R via Roosevelt and back via Lakeland Road, Lakeland Commons, Germantown. This will be a BRT for the Lakeland community.

Route 27 Front-Market to Airport Local via Market Street, 21st Street, Oregon Ave, and follows Rt 68 from there. This will eliminate the need for a transfer at 20th-Johnston from 17 to the 68.

Route 6 30th Street Station to Airport District via Market St, 34th St, Baltimore. This is the only route that will include a new terminal. I am experimenting with the map builder, so expect AI to be buggy (road links are something I will have to figure out)
EDIT: Route 6 is on the verge of being canceled as I figured out everything BUT road links. Unless I figure this out, Route 6 will be postponed.

Route 191 Airport to Springfield Mall EXPRESS via I-95, this will be an Express Route that has no stops between. Goes straight at Industrial Hwy onto the freeway and goes straight at the I-95 and I-295 intersection

Route 140 Springfield Mall to 30th Street EXPRESS via I-95, only stopping Market Street. Springfield Mall felt like it needed a direct connection to 30th instead of 2 routes that serve the local towns of Greenville and Darrah Peak.

This is the list for now. I will be updating this if I come up with new ideas for new routes.

Routes I have completed so far:
Route 304 DIRECT Wayne Jct to Cicero-Division via City Avenue/Cicero Avenue. This will speed up the City Line Corridor and provide for express service into Keystone City.

No message is associated with this attachment.

I like the ideas you have, and I must say: they will work.....most

The only routes I wouldn't see is the 212 (which is basically a express version of 217) and 191 (sounds more BRT-ish).
Nascar, this is a common problem I addressed personally but I have to say it: the AI lists contain your personal mods instead of the in game powertrains

Dash has a tutorial on editing AI lists.

Quote from: Dash5155 on September 03, 2018, 11:03:38 pmHow to Modify AI Lists

In order to add any vehicle to your AI list, you must first locate the AI list. First go into the folder for a the map you want to modify. Find a file labeled "ailists.cfg" (if you see ailists_#low.cfg, do not modify this as this is for the reduced AI settings. If you wish to have modded AI on reduced AI settings, you risk overpowering your computer, should you use the lower setting).

Opening up the file

Open this file up with notepad or notepad plus, and scroll down to the an active vehicle group. In the case of Cayuga, the standard group is "Cayuga City Standard Buses." You can also determine the standard AI group by opening up the Global.cfg file for the map, and finding the [standarddepot] tag, but this is not always accurate. The best way of determining which group is for buses is by looking for the "[aigroup_depot]" tag in the AI list, as most modern maps use multiple bus groups. In this example, we will focus on Cayuga City Standard Buses.

Swapping out vehicles

You may have noticed that I have a "URL" selected in the last screen. Well all AI lists basically use a link relative to the OMSI root to find vehicles. Both in the OMSI 1 and OMSI 2 format lists, however the OMSI 2 format lists give much more customization when it comes to conditions and numbers. However we will not be worrying about that for this, we're simply going to add in another vehicle. You have two ways of going about this, you could...

  • add in another vehicle as an additional vehicle
  • replace an existing vehicle in the AI with another

In this example, we will be replacing, but should you want to add you simply have to perform two additonal steps:

  • Add in a new tag for your AI list, under the desired AI group, with the label "[aigroup_depot_typgroup_2]"
  • under this tag, add in the URL to the vehicle of your choice (how this is determined will be explained below)
  • under the URL, add an [end] tag, but we won't stop there as the game will assume you want EVERY possible combination of this vehicle in your AI for now, but when we cover repaints this will be fixed.

Finding your vehicle URL

This is rather simple, all you really have to do is go to the vehicles folder of your OMSI 2, find the bus you want to add in, then replicate the directory then file in your AI list. As you can see, my folder setup is common | OMSI 2 | vehicles | Citaro Facelift UK, and the file I have selected is "MB_O530FL_Ecomat.bus" You only need everything after "OMSI 2" in your URL, as the game looks for everything beyond that folder already, so your reference in the AI list should be like vehicles\Citaro Facelift UK\MB_O530FL_Ecomat.bus

From here, in most cases, all you have to do is add in numbers, so under your Vehicle URL you can just type them as a list, example:

However that may prove to be boring because, they will spawn with the default repaints. So how do we fix this? Well we reference em! Between each number and the repaint name there is to be two tabs, the first tab references to the license plate numbers and the second refers to the repaint name. So we want them to reference the repaint name. How do we do this? Simple. Keep this formula in mind:

So the ideal reference to a repaint would look like this:

Keeping in mind those are tabs, not spaces! You MUST hit the tab key on your keyboard where the tabs are referenced in the formula in order to do this proper. You can repeat this for as many numbers and repaints as you wish, it does not have to be the exact amount referenced in the map previously.

Wrapping up

Now all you have your AI list modified, here's some things you want to know:

  • Always make sure your repaint names exist in your actual vehicles, and try to avoid extra spaces. If you mess up even a little bit your buses will spawn with the default repaints instead of the paint of your choice
  • make sure the vehicle you're putting in the AI is the one you want. Sometimes it's good to double check by opening the .bus file and looking at the names of files and stuff.

Hopefully this was all helpful!

This should help.
Jeezus MARTA is really phasing out their older LF series buses

D35LF: 2303, 2306, 2329-2331, 2334, 2338 (wrecked), 2342, and 2352

D40LF: 2362, 2365-2366, 2370, 2372-2374, 2376-2377, 2379, 2381-2383, 2385-2386, 2388-2389, 2391, 2393-2395, 2397, 2400, and 2410

I might as well do all of the LF/LFR buses of MARTA.

C40LF: 2411-2412, 2414, 2416, 2418, 2422-2424, 2427, 2429-2433, 2435-2450, 2452, 2454-2549, 2461-2465 (2463 was, alas, wrecked too.)

Quote from: Jonathan the great on October 25, 2019, 08:39:52 amI think I have an idea for a powertrain. It may not be real, bus an ISL9 or an L9 for the DE60LF with a BAE

That i can attempt.

October 24, 2019, 02:31:54 pm

I'm officially done! No more! I went as far as I could and stopped. There is no other powertrain I can create for the D60LF. Imma go focus on other buses in OMSI 2.

Now to wait to get permission to release it.
So about 2 Months ago 5 MARTA D40LFs were put up for auction. So they're retired

Here's all the buses retired:

2307: retired September 2018
2308, 2309, 2332, 2341: Retired August 2019

2367, 2378, 2384, 2392, 2399, 2407: Retired August 2019

2401: Retired May 13th, 2015. Struck by a CSX train.

Quote from: jjboy on October 06, 2019, 09:11:41 amWait, so can you give an example of which buses are allowed please.

It's been almost a year. Man how time flies.

Ok, major update:
I just finished making my D60LF C9/Ally powertrain.

I'm currently going to do a new ISM/Ally and ISM/ZF powertrain.

I'll also do ISL/Ally, DDS50EGR/Ally, ISL/Ecomat IV, And DDS50EGR/ZF powertrains.

Quote from: The Lycanroc Gamer on October 26, 2018, 11:34:52 pmI dunno if this is the right forum to talk about new powertrains....
I still don't know. Lol

Quote from: The Lycanroc Gamer on October 26, 2018, 11:34:52 pmLet's not get into detail and cut to the chase: I'm doing this "mini" project to bring in new powertrains to the NFI D60LF.

i don't mean to yell, but I have problems with people....

ok, back on topic.........:p

I want to do the following Powertrains (more will be added a little later, once i can handle creating the damn things):

p.s. these are all D60LF:

DD50EGR and B500R or ZF ecomat
ISL and B500R
ISM and B500R or Ecomat
Idk anymore.

Quote from: The Lycanroc Gamer on October 26, 2018, 11:34:52 pmCaterpillar C9 and B500R
That's done already. It sounds like a Sound Transit bus ;)

Quote from: The Lycanroc Gamer on October 26, 2018, 11:34:52 pmif anyone is willing to teach me how to create powertrains, i will give the tutor a NJT-spec D60LF: C9 and ZF Ecomat
Whelp, I'll do this too.
