Liberty Map v0.2.3

The Liberty Map for OMSI 2 takes the glory of being the first map to capture a network of NYC routes. The vast majority of 0.2.3 takes place in lower Manhattan (Mediaboro), Brooklyn (Brook) and Long Island City, Queens (Easton). To keep things compatible with OMSI, this map takes place in a ficticious setting, however bus depot assignments and most streets ingame are actually based on real life locations.

In this version, the following routes are drivable:
Mediaboro: M8, M9, M21, M22
Brook: B32, B39, B62
Easton: E102
Inter-Borough Routes: M6 +Select Bus Service+ (Fictional route), BM39 (also fictional)

Current Version 0.2.3 - Release July 21st 2017
http://vtransitcenter.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=downfile&id=37

If you are upgrading from an older version, you MUST REPLACE all the files that come with this version, including repaints, hof files, etc, else you will encounter glitches and incompatible hofs, which I will NOT be supporting

Required maps are:
Daytonford County,
Willshire,
"Offline" Required Objects/Splines Pack,
 Great Grundorf 2, and
DBC Chicago.

Vehicles needed for the non-reduced AI are (optional, as the map will still run without these):
NovaBus LFSA by MTA3306
NFI Xcelsior by MTA3306
MCI D4500CT by MTA3306
NovaBus/TMC RTS by MTA3306
If you do not wish to purchase the Porais Studios buses, just enable the "reduced AI" setting in-game and your AI will simply be the Chicago Citybus instead

If there are any issues, on the support thread.

Changes since 5/29/16 release:

Routes:
-new route M6 +Select Bus Service+
-a drivable version of the M8 crosstown
-a more realistic version of the B39, which terminates in the lower east side of Mediaboro instead of Navy Pier.
-a new route BM39 which operates the route of 0.2's B39

Buses:
-new paints and depot files for all buses (from 0.2, not all OMSI buses overall).
-new paints for New Flyer Xcelsior by MTA3306
-new paints for NovaBus LFSA by MTA3306
-new paints for MCI D4500 by MTA3306
-realistic AI bus assignments (when 'reduced AI' setting is disabled in game).

Misc:
- loads more scenery compared to 0.2
- rebuilt terminals, hubs, and loops.
- road markings for highways and bridges
- more parked cars in some residential neighborhoods
- less stops overall along routes in Brook (B62 went from having 39 total stops to 32, BM39 went from having 19 stops to 14).

And much much more!

*Notes:

When setting a route in the IBIS, the route number would be....
01-09 for Brook
10-19 for Mediaboro
20-29 for Easton

The line numbers would end with....
28 for Mediaboro
72 for Brook
75 for Easton

Some points of the map namely, in Easton and Mediaboro, have uncontrolled traffic. Proceed with caution

Hi Dash,

i really would like to test this map so i installed it and downloaded everything i need for it.
When i start omsi2 i can´t choose this map - all other maps i had to download are in the list.

So i would like to know if this is just an update and useless without the main ?

It would be great to get an answer that i can drive on this map.

Munce

I believe that your solution would be to in the top right corner of the map selection screen in OMSI, click "Load map without buses". Now, if you look through the list of maps, it should be there.

You should not need the original map.
Furious typing, many cups of tea, and lots of OMSI.

Nothin' better than that.

AirdriverMBTA

Thank you for your fast answer @munce

That solved my problem. Thank you.

Now i will explore the map =)

Hi Im haviing Maps loading incorrectly for Liberty and i have screen shots

Munce

Would you be able to kindly attach a logfile.txt so that I may assist you further?

In case you do not know how to, here is a guide:

There's is my Logfile

Munce

Would you be able to please first try to load Liberty 0.2, close OMSI, and then give me the logfile.txt that it produces directly after? The logfile that you had attached has you attempting to load Grundelphia - DBC Edition, which I do not need.

The reason why you are getting the blue sky glitch in Liberty is the same as the reason in Grundelphia; because you are missing the map Great Grundorf 2.

Again, the download is here:
http://www.3dtranstudio.net/omsi/gg2.php

After downloading and installing it, Liberty should be loading up properly.

so i just extract it to the Omsi 2 folder without putting the file in the proper places

Munce

Extract the files for Great Grundorf 2 in the same manner that you did for the Liberty map.

I cant seem to find a working download link for Wisenburg. This seems to be a prerequisite for the Liberty map.

Does anyone know where i can get a copy of Wisenburg so that i can run Liberty? Thanks!

The required objects are also included in Cayuga.

So speaking of included Cayuga objects, I am patching up Liberty right now before working on version 0.3

So far, this is what I've done:

-Changed all splines to Dash-Liberty, Terrain Spline, Platform, and Yufa splines
-Added scenery to Brook
-Redesigned Portland Terminal (Now Portland Bridge Plaza)
-Re-designed Downtown Brook
-Rebranded the B39 as BM39 and created a more true-to-real-life version of the B39
-Added scenery along the M8, and soon more traffic control along the route
-Re-did the Brook part of the Elevated lines
-Re-wrote the .hof files, using Liberty 0.2 as the name (instead of Liberty/Liberty Scrolling Signs).
-Stuff.

Glad to see that this map is still being worked on! Looking forward to it

So guys, I set up a poll for the updated map.

I will have 2 versions of the AI list, one based on actual MTA bus depot assignments and one with all one type of vehicle for those with lower tier PCs. So I am giving you guys 4 days to vote on which bus will be used in said reduced AI list.

When the results are in, I will release a patched version of the map with you guys' feedback. Basically, the 0.2 patch is 90% ready (I just have to add in a few more last minute things and details). I sent it out to a few for testing/promo purposes. But the public should have it soon.

Another thing I'd suggest is putting both the XD40 and XD60 in the map's AI. The XD60s are operating in Manhattan (Mediaboro) with the new scheme currently on the M15, and the XD40s are in Brooklyn and Queens (Brook and Easton) on pretty much every route that you've done so far.

Btw are you planning on expanding Mediaboro too?

No expansions are happening in this patch, just scenery being added, routes being modified, and paints/hofs being fixed.

The assignments are currently based on

Michael J. Quill depot for the Mediaboro routes (RTSs, and Orion VII NGs)
and Grand Avenue for the Brook routes (Orion VII NGs and XD40s)

I took down the assignments in December 2016 and adjusted the AIs accordingly. It was most logical to me since every route that is actually drivable are based out of those depots. The articulated buses are all from MJQ depot because there's no drivable articulated routes yet, but the first would either be the M14 or a fictitious route that'd also be based out of MJQ.

Jacob

It won't let me see the voting results.

Just a minor bug.
