Welcome to the OMSI 2 New Flyer Xcelsior Series Mod! Original Mod by MTA3306, Modified heavily by DashTransit aka Dash5155!


Let’s call this a glorified powertrain mod, because that’s basically what it is.

This version, let’s call it version 1.6.13, after the date it was released of course, brings rehashed Xcelsior 40 and 60 foot buses to OMSI 2.

  • June 13th 2024 Update
    • Additions:
      • Added RIPTA R-Line and WMATA Paints to all sizes
      • Added NJ Transit, MBTA, MTA NYC, and SEPTA paints to 60 foot buses
    • Fixes
      • Added missing fonts for fleet numbers and interior text
      • Removed “AI-only” 60 foot models (response to feedback)

To install, simply extract this archive to the OMSI Root folder. Vehicles should overwrite the vehicles folder, fonts should overwrite fonts. Optionally, if you wish to have this bus operate in the DBC Chicago Downtown map, also extract the “Maps” folder to maps.

DO NOT Extract this archive to the vehicles folder directly. You WILL break things this way. PLEASE do what this readme file says.

Now this mod is far from complete. In fact, I only am releasing it now as part of a joke made a while ago, where I was to release the mod on March 13th. So feel free to address your complaints, but don’t feel like this is the final product. I still need to finish up lining up the interior decals and bring back the XD35 after all.

Please stop asking me about specifications related to CNG and sixty-foot models. THIS MOD IS NOT COMPLETE, AND MORE VARIANTS WILL COME LATER.

But enjoy this mod either way!


Please note I am aware of the destination sign visibility in this version. That will be patched out in a future version!
