Philadelphia, PA: After two weeks of downtime, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, or SEPTA, has been ordered to restore all previously cut service, and hold off additional service cuts for the time being.
This means all service cuts that were done on August 24th have to be reversed.
Fare increases that were scheduled for September 1st are to move forward however.
SEPTA previously announced that it would take 10 days to adjust schedules, so we will know more about what service will be restored in time.
This is a developing story so when SEPTA announces more details, we will update.
Update 9/5/2025: Accordingly, service would be fully restored on September 14th.
