ElDorado National XHF
« on: January 03, 2018, 01:58:28 AM »
Hey Everyone! I'm starting a new project.

This one is the ElDorado National XHF bus.
Despite the name of the bus here on this topic, the XHF is currently built by ENC.

However, ElDorado National is referred for the line of Cutaway buses, and ENC for
the Mid to Heavy duty buses.

The XHF is a High Floor bus model that comes in 29, 33, 35 and 40 feet.
The XHF is similar to the discontinued Transmark RE, however the Transmark only came in
29 and 33 feet.

The XHF is powered by Diesel and Natural Gas engines such as the Cummins ISB and the Cummins B Gas+(Replaced by the
ISL-G).

The XHF, alongside with the Arrivo model are the only models by ENC to be Highfloor models to still be in production.
The model still retains it's original look, with the only change being the highlights
(Switching them to Circular quad headlights).

So far, the 35ft model is only built. However, I might do 29' and 40' models as well.

The model will come in Diesel and Natural Gas models.

I'm not working on a specific schedule, I will work on it when I'm able to.

If you want to help with the project, I would need help with some of the scripts and sound effects.

The IC bus project is still on Haitus.

I'm giving you a link to an alternative tire texture you're more than welcome to use. Your bus will be sporting Goodyear tires

For textures, I believe if you keep it at a solid color like white, it'll be easier to Unwrap UVWs for repaints in the future.

Another Update!

-Reworked Texture(Thanks Miller!)
-Added Wheels and Goodyear texture, but I still need to fix it(Thanks Mta_donny!)
-Added Rooftop AC(with Thermo king logo)
-Added Side bumpers as well(What are they actually called?)
-This one will be a LNG powered version with the Cummins B Gas+ and Allison B300R.(I'll need help with that...)

Planned Variants:

-35' Diesel with Cummins ISB.
-29' Diesel with ISB(I'll try to do it SEPTA spec.)
-29' Propane with Cummins B Gas+ with a 29' trailer (Zion National Park shuttle)
-35' CNG with Cummins ISL-G
(Might do a 40' version, but I'm not sure yet.)

Don't forget to flip those wheel's normals so it doesn't look transparent

By the way, does anybody have any interior shots of the XHF or Translink RE? Their kinda hard to find on google, and I'd really appreciate it if I can get my hands on some.

I'm curious as to how you plan on making the AI passenger paths work on the trailer version. There's also a double trailer version available according to the XHF brochure.
http://eldorado-ca.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/ENC-XHF.pdf

I hope this brochure also helps with seating arrangement, it shows a few possible combinations for the various lengths.

Here's another ENC link that contains enlarged PDFs of some seating plans:

I actually didn't think of that in the first place :P . I have of an idea of how the seating file works, but have yet to try it out.
I've mostly been just creating the bases and tried working on some of my other mods.

Thanks for the links, these are very useful along with the Altoona testing PDF I've found for the creation of the buses.
For the trailer version, I just assumed that it was the Transmark RE because that model doesn't have anything beyond
33 feet.
